About Nadika

I have been a writer for over twenty years, and I now teach writing.

As a writer, I’ve worked in advertising and communications, journalism, and film and television. My interests are in history and archaeology, gender and rights, cities, film and television. As a journalist, I’ve written on cinema, politics, and queer rights. I have worked with reporters and writers as a copy editor and sub editor. I’ve also worked with researchers and writers, cleaning up and structuring long reports, editing for clarity, consistency and precision. On the television side, I’ve developed scripts and dialogue for a legal drama which, at that time, was most sensitive in its portrayal of transgender persons and other marginalised communities.

My work is also informed by my personal journey and my value system, which in turn has been shaped by my experience in volunteering, crisis management, advocacy, and collaborating with marginalised communities across the
social/political spectrum.
